Hart Allen Obituary – ATLANTA, GA — The Pace Academy community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of rising eighth grader Hart Allen, who died in a tragic lake accident on June 21, 2025. Hart was 13 years old.
Hart joined the Pace Academy family in 2017, following in the footsteps of his three older siblings. He quickly became known for his vibrant spirit, infectious humor, and compassionate nature. A natural leader among his peers, Hart brought boundless warmth, heart, and energy to everything he did—whether in the classroom, on the field, or among friends.
A talented and committed athlete, Hart played water polo and lacrosse at Pace and was a proud member of the Thunder Lacrosse club team. Beyond athletics, he was an active and accomplished member of the Boy Scouts of America, recently earning the Life Rank and being inducted into the Order of the Arrow, one of the organization’s highest honors.
Hart’s teachers and coaches described him as a loyal friend, a determined student, and someone who uplifted everyone around him with his genuine kindness and steady presence.
A memorial service celebrating Hart’s life will be held on Thursday, July 3, at 10 a.m. at The Cathedral of St. Philip, located at 2744 Peachtree Road NW, Atlanta. In honor of Hart’s passions, students and attendees are invited to wear team jerseys, Scout uniforms, or Pace Academy gear.
In lieu of flowers, the Allen family invites those wishing to honor Hart’s memory to consider a donation to one of the organizations that held a special place in his life. (Donation details to be announced by the family.)
Hart Allen’s loss leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered not only for his many accomplishments but for the love, laughter, and leadership he gave so freely in his short but impactful life.
